CHURCHVILLE, MD — A curious bunny named Pickles ended up trapped in the chimney of a Churchville home Sunday morning. She ended up being rescued by firefighters.

Level Volunteer Fire Company firefighters were called to a home located in the 3000 block of Level Road around 9:30 a.m. for a report of a rabbit stuck in the chimney.

"Reports that the Easter Bunny is trying to take Santa Claus’ place are not true. This is an isolated incident," the Harford County Fire Department jokingly said on Facebook after the bunny was safely rescued.

Her owner, Amanda Dinges, posted on the fire department's Facebook page that there was a cement room inside her fireplace with a hole the size of a brick at the back of the fireplace. The bunny was exploring and fell through the hole and down into some sort of a room, she explained.

"Thank you for coming to our rescue after we had spent all night trying to get her and ran out of ideas. Y'all are amazing," Dinges commented on the post.
